LuvLeighAn Clark is a disabled, multiracial female that was raised in foster care, after being severely abused by her adopted parents. She lived in over 30 placements before she aged out of foster care at 18.

With no life skills to her name and the inability to cope with the adult world, she spends most of her adult life homeless and going from job to job.

at the age of 20, she walked from Michigan to California (getting a few rides) in the hopes of making it as a Movie Star.

A few years later while living in a rent-based hotel in Skid Row part of Downtown Los Angeles, she was asked if she wanted to be an extra in a movie by someone else in the hotel. He had told her that he got called to help out as an extra and to bring people for a Halloween scene and that she would get $60 for a few hours of work. He also informed her not to be seen in anything as it was a gay pron. Needing the money and seeing how it was being filmed on the street she agreed.

It was NOT gay porn, it was gay-themed, but not a porn movie.  She has tried finding the film, but the film either changed its name or never was distributed (many film projects die in post-production) The name was something like Gary's Philosophy - it was about a gay couple, one of the guys had a sexual relationship with a female, I think she got pregnant, and she and the guy died of Aids leaving the boyfriend to raise the kid. The scene she was in was a New York (filmed in Skid Row - Los Angeles) street party.

She could not understand why they did not do the scenes in order, or why they had to do the scenes soooo many times, which mostly was because the extras would not do as they were told to do. So, she took it upon herself to start pulling people to the area the director wanted them to dance into. after doing this a few takes, others started helping and the scene was a take. She was also surprised that actors that would not volunteer to be in scenes (she was used so much they had to tell her no) complained about the pay, just because they were union. She even told the man guy complaining that $60 plus food and water to sit all night and never be in a scene (he was only in one) was a lot of money and to be grateful. She got more than the $60 she was told she would get by the guy in the building she lived in.

Not knowing how to get a film job and having to spend her time working jobs she hated and was fired from for being too honest for her own good. She would not work in film for many more years.

LuvLeighAn has many learning problems (and a speech impediment), she never went above a 2nd grade learning in school because LD classes never taught her anything. At one of the schools, she redid the same class workbook four times before being suspended for a few days.

You see, she complained when they gave her the workbook a second time, it took her less than a week to do it the first time. The teacher said they had no choice, and that it was up to the principal. So, she took her complaint to the principal.

He told her they were too stupid to learn and just to do the workbook, no matter how many times it is given to her.

She tried telling the other adults, but they said he would never say that about the students that he loved the students. So, after doing the same workbook a fourth time, she wants to beg the principal a second time to give her harder school work. He started again calling them stupid, So, she turned on the PA system and the whole school heard him call the students stupid. The staff came running into the office to tell him he was live on the PA system.

Nothing happened to him, she was suspended for almost a week.

Moving so often in foster care also hindered her ability to be educated, often just being put into whatever class they could find. She was lucky if she stayed in one school for three months. Which if she could have just excepted being a slave to her foster parents or not complained if there was any type of abuse. after all, she lived through every type of abuse the first 13 years of her life, what was a few more years. But she could not, nor can she today. Which does cost her many jobs and relationships.

She aged out of foster care without her high school diploma. A production that was made when she was with her adopted parents. She was always told she was too dumb that she would never finish school.

And it looked like that was true. It turns out, you need an adult to register you for school, and she did not have any adults to register her for school. So, no high school would take her.

She was able to enroll in community college without a high school diploma (she would need it if she wished to graduate from college). She was not smart enough nor mature enough to be responsible for her schoolwork. Also, this was before the schools stopped you from registering for advanced classes. And all the classes she enrolled in were very advanced but sounded really cool.

After a VERY bad experience in Job Corps, she did end up with a GED. She did not like this. her generation grew up with the idea that a GED was bad and enforced that you were too dumb to finish High School. She tried again at community college while living out in Los Angeles. Luckily the school she picked (Los Angeles Trade Technical College) had a Disabled Student Center. Without them, she would not hold 4 Associate of Arts Degrees, 2 Bachelors of Arts Degrees, 2 Masters of Arts Degrees, and a Master of Science Degree (though this one was by the school screw up, she just took advantage of it). She hopes to get her Ph.D. (and to just make everything even she wants four of each degree, but now is stumped on it should be four science and arts in each group.

Despite her education, it was not until 2010 that she would enter film school at Los Angeles City College, after being approached by a member of Pha Fest (a small film contest group that was on campus). She did not know the community college offered classes in film. She was still trying to make it as a filmmaker, though she moved from in front of the camera (she never had the look or emotional range) to behind the camera. Her goal was now to Write and Direct. However, one of her teachers told her skills as a Producer was greater and that she should follow that path. She has considered it but is still trying to find a way to be trained to do the job. She does have an eye for telling if a project has life, or how to make it have life if there is any heartbeat to it.

She still has hopes of writing scripts, but she even admits that she is better at coming up with ideas than writing them out.

To date, LuvLeighAn is producing her shorts, and documentaries under the film company she started for one of her film classes. Goddess Productions

LuvLeighAn also writes books, poems, and paints.

Goddess Productions picks productions that make people think or see a new way to improve our world without judgment.

One day LuvLeighAn hope the following will come to pass. But as of right now, she is trying to figure out how to make her company legal and to get funding to complete her film projects.

Goddess Productions is an independent film company that will be a not-for-profit (with or without the legal logo). Any money made over the cost of production will be turned around and put into the next production, or (when up and running) will be spent on the Orphanage ran by Goddess Foundation, the parent group of Goddess Productions. (When they are up and running)
